Welcome to the Chiltern Edge webpage for Duke of Edinburgh Award.
We run the Bronze award for year 9 students starting in December and completing their award in July. The DofE award is held in high esteem by both universities and employers, and is a fantastic part of a well rounded education.

Congratulations to all 31 participants who completed their Assessed Expedition, we were very lucky with the weather and I am pleased to say they all passed. Please ensure all other sections have been completed and evidence uploaded. I hope to present certificates and badges at the end of term assembly.

Physical: Take part in any kind of physical activity from team sports to martial arts.

Expedition: A 2 day, 1 night camping trip where students plan, train and execute their own adventurous journey.

Skill: Develop a practical skill, this could be something you already do such as learning a musical instrument, learning a new sport or learning to cook.
During the 6 month period, there will be regular meetings where all students must attend. These sessions will vary from map and compass work, to learning how to cook using a Trangia camping stove.
